Carl Jung gave a series of lectures in 1932 on The Psychology of Kundalini Yoga (1996, edited by Sonu Shamdasani). Gautama Buddha said, “If you want to know the past look at your present life if you want to know the future, look at your present.” We use our present life experience as the laser beam that takes us back to our most prominent soul issues that need to be addressed. The perspective presented here is derived from tens of thousands of people's actual experiences in altered states, such as near-death experiences, hypnotherapeutic age regressions, transcendent spiritual experiences, and meditations. It is simply a natural encounter with the consequences of our previous behavior: ![]() ![]() The concept of karma should not be used to make us feel guilty or shame us. I have often heard people say, “I must have done something really bad in a past life to deserve this.” But that is not really how it works.
